The Johnstone men were 

once sturdy and sure, 

A powerful clan to be heeded.

Discrete Border Reivers,

Repleat Law Deceivers,

They originally settled, 

With still and brass kettle,

in Annandale, lovely and true.

And for six hundred years 

they were loved and were feared.

They fought and were rarely defeated.

They won at Dryfe Sands,

Lead by young, daring hands,

In the west Scottish woods, 

Under fog, under hood,

They evaded the English and thrived.

Yet today Lochwood Tower.

Sits ruined and sour.
